UPDATE: Whip count in House on debt deal vote-5:21PM

Whip count in House on debt deal as of 5:21PM is as follows:

216 votes needed to pass

Yes: 61 (12 Dem, 49 Rep)

No: 28 (15 Dem, 16 Rep.)

Nancy Pelosi will be voting YES as will Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor.  

Vote is scheduled about an hour or so from now.  Expectations are that the House will pass the bill, followed by the Senate.  I’m guessing that Obama will get the bill sometime tonight or tomorrow morning unless something unexpected happens in the House.

Tea Party expected to declare victory sometime tonight.

Bad deal seems to be a done deal.
