A new poll
(July 24th) shows Trump up by just 1.3 points over Clinton (45.5
Trump/44.2 Clinton). The poll has a
margin of error of 4.4% so that means the race is tied. That’s right—TIED IN GA.
Clinton is winning big in Georgia among 19-19 year olds
(46.8 to 36.6), African-Americans (87.6 to 6) and other non-Whites (54.2 to
16.6)
The Black vote in Georgia and especially Clinton’s huge lead
over Trump (88 to 6) could make all the difference since Blacks are expected to
make up 32% of the Georgia electorate. Blacks
and other minorities (which are going overwhelming for Clinton) make up more
than 1/3rd of the Georgia electorate (37%).
Trump is leading Clinton among White voters 67% to 21%.
