Obama leads all Republicans in new Ohio poll

Obama has taken the lead in the key swing state of Ohio over Romney and all potential Republican challengers according to a poll released today.  He was tied with Romney in Ohio a month ago.

Public Policy Polling released a new poll of Ohio voters today showing that Obama would carry the state by a wider margin than he did in 2008 if the election were held today.  He beats Romney by 9 points (50-41) and all the other Republican contenders by double digits.  Obama carried Ohio in 2008 with 52% of the vote to John McCain’s 47%.  Obama and Romney were tied in Ohio at 47% each last month.  10% of Republicans in Ohio are now supporting Obama.  Only 4% of Democrats say they would vote for Romney.
