Obama has taken the lead in the key swing state of Ohio over
Romney and all potential Republican challengers according to a poll released
today. He was tied with Romney in Ohio a month
ago.
Public Policy Polling released a new poll of Ohio voters today showing that Obama would carry the state by a wider margin than he did in 2008
if the election were held today. He
beats Romney by 9 points (50-41) and all the other Republican contenders by
double digits. Obama carried Ohio in
2008 with 52% of the vote to John McCain’s 47%.
Obama and Romney were tied in Ohio at 47% each last month. 10% of Republicans in Ohio are now supporting
Obama. Only 4% of Democrats say they
would vote for Romney.
