A modest proposal on Congressional pay


In 1789, members of Congress were paid $6 per day but only for the days they actually worked. I think that is about what this Congress is worth, so let's go back to that, $6 per day, but only when they show up for at least 8 hours and actually get something done.  No legislation, no pay.
