Dear Repubs, the train has left the station

Republicans want to defund or delay Obamacare.  They hate Obamacare so much they are willing to shutdown the government and risk being blamed for the shutdown if Obamacare is not defunded or delayed.

Well, I have news for Republicans.  Today, the Obamacare train left the station.  It is too late for you to do anything about it.  You can not defund it, delay it, or stop it.  Obamacare is a reality.  We have Medicare, Medicaid and now Obamacare.  Even if you take control of both houses of Congress and the White House in 2016, which you won't, you still will not be able to kill Obamacare.  By then, the country will have had three full years of a totally new approach to the individual insurance market.  Americans who get their health insurance through their employer will have found that the only thing that is changed is that the coverage available to them is better and the costs are increasing at the slowest rates in decades.  Americans who purchase insurance through the Exchanges will have found that they have a wide range of good choices for insurance at very affordable prices. Americans with pre-existing conditions will no longer have to worry about either going broke from their healthcare cost or going without life saving treatments.  Many Americans will be getting preventive health services for the first time in their lives and a significant number of them will be well on their way to recovery or control of health problems detected from preventive medical screenings Obamacare made possible.  None of the horrible things that you told Americans would happen if Obamacare was implemented would have come true.  Americans will know that and know that you were either lying or just didn't know what you were talking about.

No Republicans by the time you could possible get enough control over the government to kill Obamacare, you will dare not even try.  Obamacare will have become a third rail, just like Medicare.

Bottom line Republicans:  The people spoke.  Time ran out.  It's over.  You lost. Go home, have a drink, pound the wall.  The Obamacare train has left the station.
